Polytanks Ghana Launches EduAid Initiative to Support Pupils
Polytanks Ghana, a producer of water storage tanks and packaging products, has launched an education support initiative aimed at providing essential school supplies to pupils in selected communities across the country.
Known as the EduAid initiative, the programme will provide water bottles to lower primary pupils and exercise books to upper primary and junior high school students to support their learning and promote their well-being.
The company is targeting a minimum of 25 schools annually, with plans to distribute 200,000 exercise books and 10,000 water bottles every academic year.
The Media Relations Manager of Polytanks Ghana, Moudline Duodua-Gyan, said the provision of water bottles was intended to encourage regular hydration among younger pupils and promote healthy habits that would contribute to their comfort, concentration and overall well-being.
She explained that the exercise books would also help ease some of the financial pressure families face at the beginning of each academic year, when parents and guardians must purchase essential learning materials for their children.
According to Ms Duodua-Gyan, the initiative reflects Polytanks Ghana’s broader commitment to supporting the well-being of Ghanaian families and communities.
She said that, as a generational brand, the company seeks to be more than a trusted partner for families building homes, establishing businesses or seeking practical solutions. It also aims to remain relevant through the important milestones that shape people’s lives.
Supporting the Next Generation
Ms Duodua-Gyan said Polytanks Ghana had grown alongside Ghanaian families over the years and wanted to extend that relationship to the next generation through educational support.
“Polytanks is more than a product that has been present in Ghanaian homes for generations. We have grown alongside families, witnessed their milestones and become part of everyday life. EduAid is an expression of that relationship and we want to be part of the journey of the next generation by supporting them as they learn, grow and build their future,” she said.
She added that the initiative represented the company’s contribution towards helping children begin the school year with confidence and the essential materials needed to support their education.
“It is our small but meaningful contribution to helping children begin the school year with confidence and the tools they need to learn,” she added.
Schools Receive Books and Water Bottles
As part of the EduAid initiative, Polytanks Ghana presented exercise books and water bottles to pupils at the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) cluster of schools at Baatsona and Ashaiman Number Two Junior High School.
The Headmistress of Baatsona TWMA Primary School, Naomi Damptey, described the programme as a timely intervention that would benefit pupils, particularly those who had returned to school without adequate learning materials.
She noted that some pupils had not received exercise books since the reopening of schools, making the donation a welcome source of support for both students and their families.
The Deputy Director in charge of Supervision and Monitoring at the Tema West Municipal Education Office, Abena Mensah-Brown, also commended Polytanks Ghana for introducing the initiative.
She called for the programme to be sustained to ensure that pupils and their families continued to receive regular support.
Through EduAid, Polytanks Ghana is seeking to contribute to educational development by helping reduce the burden of purchasing school supplies, encouraging healthy habits among younger learners and supporting children as they pursue their academic goals.
